Writing Group -- Feb

The pre-meeting meeting of my crit group went well. I distributed the first 7 edited scenes of Nowhere Man, and Kerry said she would email me what she is working on. She seems to be in the midst of a writing flurry, at least in terms of volume. Kim is revising/rewriting, and will get me stuff in a few months.

The meeting itself was good, too -- "The Elements of Story." We talked about what we like in a story, and what we don't like. Good perspective, good discussion, good stuff.

"Nowhere Man" it is

Kim and Kerry have convinced me that the novel they want to crit is "Nowhere Man" -- I think it was the alien that persuaded them . . . . .

This one is about 57K long at this point, about 2/3 finished. So my plan is to edit the early scenes before giving them away, as well as adding to it. Thisis my motivation to work on it -- I don't want them to catch up to where I stopped writing, so I am working on both ends of it at the same time.
